Several years ago we got a payday loan. We paid it off after the scheduled date. We starting having Lamont Fields or Darrion Smith from Becket Mccormick and scmdt a law office in Georgia. But we no longer owe any money. It they won't stop harrising us. They keep threatening to have us arrested. Is this a scam. Really what can I do

I just got a phone call this morning from Lamont Fields from Beckly McCormick Schmitt with a DC number 202 792 3776 saying I owe money from a payday loan from 20013
No one can be arrested for default of a payment. It is illegal for collection companies to threaten you like that. All they can say is that they can or will take legal action. Payday loans companies rarely will because it cost more than it's worth.
It is more likely that they are scam artist. Do not give them any information and just screen your calls.Eventually they will give up and call other people.
