This number 1-213-283-8557 and he said call this number again and asked for Michael Carter and i did and the guy said he left for the day and hang up on me when i said i never used payday loan. what should i do? When i called back the message came on and no answer.
sounds familar. last year I was in need of a small loan and I went to a website .They ask for all this information and you think it's legit.I never took the loan or anything but hat was about the time it happened. They keep calling and asking for someone named Gary Reeves.I don't know anyone by this name and they keep calling.I told them I knew it was a scam and I was going to report them to the state attorney generals office.They get mad and hang up.very hard to understand them.
Called my cell phone and work number. Said his name was John Smith , he is an attorney and it is very urgent I respond. Time sensitive, etc. When I called back a different person answered and stated I was going to be arrested the next day because of money I owe on a loan. I never took out a loan from who they stated they were representing,
Got a voicemail from this number. Its a Indian guy on mine as well and pretty much tells me its time sensitive, have my attorney call back, and so on. I tried calling back but couldn't get anyone to pick up. First off, even if this was a legitimate debt collector, they are not allowed to use any scare tactics ESPECIALLY with untrue threats of jail. I have been getting all kinds of weird calls on my cell as of late. Most of them have been payday loan offers or work from home offers. I'm guessing this probably falls into that somewhere. Have anyone of you had any other calls like that?
