Been getting a slew of suspicious calls for "charity" and "environment" along with usual spectrum of calls offering refi, credit card, fake tech support, construction, etc. Apparently a spammer digging up old numbers to try to get around my online blocker.
So many spam calls I would never contribute to any telephone solicitor. Usually the "charity" calls are from telemarketing companies which keep most of the proceeds. No way I believe what any unknown caller says.
Have called many times but never left a message. Although we may have contributed once, we no longer support any organization which telephones us. Our landline now rings constantly with fraudulent calls, even with multiple layers of call blocking.
We might respond if a message was left, perhaps with a link to a website with convincing verification.
We will never again contribute to a telephone solicitation; our telephone is for our convenience, not an invitation to telemarketers.
