they are at it again. 9pm is not acceptable, I work at midnight.
but i refuse to give them a ringtone so i miss every call.
if i gave them money in the past, it was because of a
pretty girl at the door who seemed like she was freezing cold doing her job.
it's a hard sell over the phone dummies
My White Pages app says it's Peerless Network. I googled it & got a website called "CrunchBase" that says
"Peerless Network, founded in 2008, is a fully-funded, privately-held company focused on simplifying the interconnection process for telecommunication companies, service providers and enterprises via innovative end office, tandem, and advanced routing services."
I still don't know why they'd be calling me (I didn't answer it & there was no message.)
I suppose anything is possible, but the number is provisioned by Paetec Communications, and Peerless is a competing CLEC. Kind of like AT&T calling you on a Sprint phone. Possibly there is some relationship between the two entities I am unaware of - these things get pretty intertwined. It may also be that your app has the data munged, and that it is showing who the telephony provider is, as opposed to the actual caller.
Called home twice 4/14/14, the latest after 9PM. An extended family passed away unexpectedly over the weekend, and to have the phone ring that late (yes, 9PM is late when you get up at 4AM!) is disconcerting. Have also called in the past, and I do not recall anyone in my household joining "Environment California"-ever. I suspect it is a telemarketer for solar power, (Environment California's ph # is 213-251-3688) as we have been receiving dozens of unsolicited calls for solar home improvement over the last few weeks. My phone has call blocking for 30 numbers only and it is full, so looks like will have to buy a phone with call-blocking for 250 numbers this weekend, as the calls are out of control.
