I just received a call claiming to be Microsoft. He said my computer was sending numerous online error posts and my computer was about to crash. I asked several times what an online error posts was and He said he would help me fix the problem if I would just follow his instructions he could show me what was happening. told him would have to call him back. He wasn't too pushy but sounded quite sincere.
These people claim to be a Microsoft tech virus support center stating they recieved errors from your internet provider from your computer and will try to enter your computer and steal all your info via online tech support SCAM that they will provide for free???? NO SUPPORT FROM MICROSOFT AVAILABLE IN REAL TIME. DO NOT LET THEM LOG INTO YOUR COMPUTER.
Same thing here, guy called my house with heavy accent / broken english (sound like he was in a noisy call centre type room) . Said he was calling from Microsoft tech support and was receiving error reports from my computer. He wanted me to log on to my computer and follow his instruction. It sounded like a scam to me so I asked for him number and he gave that 213-784-9596 number, called him back but still doesn't sound legit. I hung up.
Just got this call. What a scammer. Said he was from Advanced Technical Support , a Microsoft partner, in the Research and Analysis Dept. , Los Angeles US. His name was Logan. 213-784-9596. Even gave us his web address: DO NOT GO TO IT. advancedtechsupport.com Sounded more like a call centre background, and he was insisting we give him access to our computer.
