Keep getting annoying phone calls from this scam artist. The caller never leaves a message, not that I'd pick up or call this idiot back anyway. Seems the calls are usually on a Sunday afternoon. I too am on the Florida Do Not Call List. Sure would like to see some teeth behind this law; maybe a few cases of aggressive prosecution and serious jail time for offenders would help.
Rec'd this call to my 813 number. Having recently moved to Ft. Myers area, there are only a handful of people who know or have access to this number. I am curious how they got it since it is a "Do Not Call" listing.
Said he was from the Florida Troopers Association (or something similar) also known as the International Union of Police Associations (read more about them here http://newtoseattle.wordpress.com/2013/06/26/ ... ing-in-seattle/). Asked where he was in Florida and he said "New Jersey".

Received call at 3:58PM Sunday. Didn't leave message so I called back since it showed up as ADT About A B. Said was from Fl. TRooper Association and taking donations for the families of the troopers that are killed in line of duty. Asked him was this in Florida and said he didn't understand my question. I repeated question and he said no. Asked him why it showed up on caller ID as ADT About AB, said he didn't know but if I wanted more information I could call 1-800-219-5457 and hung up phone. I too am on the Do Not Call List. I called my local Sherriff's office and reported call.
