I've been getting calls from these guys for about a year now, and each time I speak to someone they hang up on me as soon as I tell them to take me off of their list. I even had a guy make racial slurs towards me. Why can't the phone company do anything about this. For a while they were calling me at least 4 times a day. I am also on a "do not call" list, why aren't these people being held accountable for breaking the law?
Received automated call that my car's warranty was about to expire. Caller went on to say that several mailings to me had not had a response, and to act quickly to protect my investment. Press 1 to speak to service representative and 2 to disconnect. I hit 2. My car is 11 years old, and waranty expired July 28, 2003.
This company has been calling weekly since 1/1/08; then this week, it's twice a day. So I answered this afternoon, hit "1", and spoke to the representative. She said the company is "consumer services" in orlando, FL, which as far as I can find, does not exist. I do believe this is a scam!
