I'm a service member too. And you're not supposed to be called because of this?? You sound like a very young uneducated 'service member. The correct spelling "there" in your post is "their" by the way.
I received this call today, they did inform me that it was a survey, I believe The calls are from a legtimate group that surveys call list consumers,I refused to answer questions, I just recently changed my phone services from verizon to comcast(with the same phone number), thats when all Telemarketing and Telecommunications began, I bet your phone company sold your phone number on a list to these and other outfits.
We have received the call over 7 days straight between 5:00PM to 9:00PM a day. I read this site so I answered last night and requested her to remove my number from the list. She said that they cannot remove until I "fulfill the service." So, I have decided to take actions on this. First, I am going to file the complain to Nuisance Call (1-800-236-5688) and contact to my representatives. Since we are asking SRBI to remove our numbers, they should respect our wishes.
Answer the phone...tell them yes you will do the survey, set the phone down and go about what you were doing to start with....check the phone in ten minutes or so. I will bet they will have hung up. Do it every time they call.
I called the number listed below and politely asked to be removed from their calling list. The "supervisor" said ok thank you. We'll see what happens.

Well, Bon, the problem is that the protocol for the Florida Department of Health survey requires us to talk to the person that is qualified at least once before ending the relentless calling. I know it's annoying, but you know who you need to complain to is Florida DoH, not us. As with every client, they tell us exactly how to conduct their survey, how many times to call, etc. It's all up to the client. We just basically do the grunt work for the clients.
