i just got this call too, said free college locator service. i asked to remove from database as this is a minute cell phone (obama phone) they said sure no problem! we'll see.
It is an organization, 866-Degree (or something like that), that is trying to get you to sign up for job training, either a certificate program or other supposed job training education. I called the number back and immediately got a human being to speak with. If you're not on the Do Not Call list they will be calling you, especially if you've done something on the internet and missed the chance to "opt out" of these types of calls. If you continue to get unwanted calls from them do as I did; call them and demand to be taking off of their call list. By law, they then have to remove you. If they don't file a complaint with the FCC. Also, www.donotcall.gov is the official website to be placed on the Do Not Call list for telemarketers (there are some exceptions to this law).
Just a correction ... You'd file a complaint with the FTC not FCC but the link I put in the original message above is correct for the Do Not Call Registry.
