I get repeated calls from this number with a recording offering to lower my credit card APR....the problem is : 1. Not only am I on a "Do Not Call List" 2. I also have NO CREDIT CARDS! No matter how many times I press the appropriate number to speak to a representative....I try telling them I have no cards or that I am on a Do Not Call List...and they rudely hang up on me! Sooooo unprofessional....clearly these calls are not being placed by any "lucrative" or "professional" place of business as is eveidence by their VERY unprofessional business practices! Does anyone know how to get these calls stopped permanently???? I have reported to the local and state level BBB as well as ny other agency that would listen including the folks at the "Do NOT Call" place. I have spoken to an attorney and am working on filing a formal charge for harrassment......FED UP!!!!!!!
I wonder if it is time to start calling the carriers of these bogus telemarketers and scammers, if we call or e-mail them every time we get a call from these anoying germs their carriers might do something about it ?.
I received a call from this number as well. The trouble with all of these scams is laws are passed to protect us, but there are no resources in place to help. I had several fraudulent charges on a credit card a few years back. After tracking down a phone number I was able to find out it was a scam connected to the russian mob. It took about 2 minutes on the internet. When I called my credit card company they responded there wasn't anything they could do. B.S. They can stop accepting charges from fraudulent vendors. They said how would they know. I replied that I found over 20,000 hits on that vendor alone - all complaining of fraudulent charges. Clearly, Citi****'s investigators are either clueless, or what I suspect, Citi****s looks the other way to continue to receive their fees. They clearly do not care. When I contacted multiple state and federal agencies, it became apparent that they really don't care either. Nothing was ever done. I was able to clear the charges, but that was about it.
Just got a call from these folks at my business number. Asked them to take me off the list. "Shakira" said, "You can be taken off the list, just a minute." I was on hold and then they disconnected--surprise, surprise. I called back and got mailbox #239-494-2306 and an automated message that said, "This subscriber cannot receive messages at this time." I wish I had the direct line to the company....
