I just got a call from a number that started out with 000, don't remember the rest. Saying that my name was chosen to get $7,500 of free government money. They thought that I was going to give them my bank information. I know this is a scam. Told me ti call 239-935-5491. They even gave me an ID number.
Please do not give the caller any personal or banking information. This a SCRAM. No government agemcy is going to call you and say that you have been approved for a grant out of the clear blue sky people. Be safe not sorry.

I just receive a call earlier today from someone wanting me to call this # after I hung up with them. The female could barely speak English. I had to have her repeat everything at least twice. She said she was calling from the U.S. Government Grant Dept. That I was one of the lucky 1000 people picked to receive the $7500. That I was receiving it because I don't do drugs or have a criminal background. She knew my address and wanted my birthdate (which I gave even though I didn't want to) for verification. She said there 3 options for payment. 1. Direct deposit. 2. Credit card. 3. Cash in hand. I said #3. Cash in hand. Then she wanted me to call this # ... But I did not.
We received a call from a women who barely spoke English. Telling us because we have no late bills, good credit, and have paid all of our taxes, we have been chosen to receive a grant from Washington s IRS! ???? She gave us an I'd number and another number to call. She said we had to immediately call that number to speak to her supervisor. We did call the number, a man answered and didn't speak great English either. When we asked him who what company he was with, he just kept saying we are not a company, we give out grants! Since we had him on speaker phone he must have heard us say it sounds like a scam and he just hung up!
Call from 000-012-1233...Same as above, called and said I got a grant from the US Gov for $7500 and all that other mumbo jumbo, then gave me an approval # and told me to call the 239-935-5491 number. After reading the above comments, I did not call them back. The lady that called could barely speak English and UNDERSTAND English as well. It's a scam.
