Heavy Indian accent said he was Microsoft and my computer had a problem. I said I know this is a scam, he asked in an angry voice who told me it was a scam. I said remove my number and I hung up
They've called several times, and as of today, it only rings once. Just happened two times in a row. They can't even figure out how to break the law the right way!
wish I had known ahead of time it was the microsoft scam. bad day for me and I could have used a n00b to vent on. Love their reaction when I tell them after 20 minutes of "right click this, press windos key that...." that they called a security firm that specializes in internet scams and we have been tracing your ip call. Or how I would like to 'eff his sister in the a$$ and blow a load on his mothers face afterwards.. You dont talk about Pakistani mothers that way... click..
Just got a call from this number. He said he was with Microsoft Technical Support and my computer was getting hacked, of course he wanted to help me fix it. When I declined he got combative and argumentative... so I put him on speaker phone and recorded 5 minutes of the call. As soon as he got pissy with me and hung up, my next move was to contact the FTC. I left them an email that I would gladly share this recording with them. Fingers crossed, they call! Right?
Never leaves a message. The one time I answered he said there was a problem with my computer. I told him I did not have one. There was just stunned silence on the other end. And then click.
