I love it! I do the same thing when they call. I tell them I am Sheriff so & so and they called a crime scene. They will not need to cooperate with me by giving me information I need or the police will be sent to arrest them. It is a crime to not cooperate with the police in an investigation. What is your full name and complete address. What is you ss #, what is the complete name and address of the company you work for, and what is the complete name and address of the owner of the company. Usually, they hang up before getting this far.

Thank you. I have done the Sheriff ploy also. If it is 202 or 206 number, it is almost certainly an IRS scammer so I answer "******* County Sheriff's Department, How may I direct your call?" They always hang up before I have a chance to say anything more. Then they are blocked. It does not seem to matter how many you block, 1000 more spring up. Criminals will be criminals. Be Safe!
Saw I had missed message on my cell phone with this number. I called the number and got a recording about "press 1 to remove your number from our calling list". It's got to be some kind of scam. Blocked their number.
