Also just received a call from this number - after checking out this thread i'm not calling back - sounds like a phishing scam - may call the company i applied with and report it just to be sure THEY don't need more info.
I got a call from this number. An automated answering service was left on my voicemail. The voicemail was cut off, only got the end of the message. How do I block their number from calling me?
dont call this number back, i emailed bank of america and they said to never ever give out any personal information to anyone over the phone!!!
I believe this is a scammer! Dont answer and dont call them back, if you need information call bank of america yourself with their official site numbers!
I've scrolled down the postings on this site and I am pretty positive now that it has something to do with or in connection with B of A. I did get a call today on my cell @ about 9:17 am (pst) and exactly what everyone else states. its a recording that seems to start before the vmail recorder starts and only leaves a # and address. I have not called back...but as most of you, I too recently applied for a B of A CC. dont know if they sell your info or what's going on...just doesnt seem right.
I also got a call from them the morning after applying for a Bank of America credit card online. Instead of calling that number back, I would call the credit card support number listed on the BofA website: 1.800.732.9194
