Caller wanted to consolidate credit cards- wouldn't give me supervisor to talk to . said she was her own superviser. continued to pursue getting to higher up but she hung up on me. very invasive and dangerous. has called here several times.
Recorded message says "This is credit card services, because of your excellent credit you are eligible for a 6.99% interest rate,press 9 to speak to operator." I knew this was a scam. I pressed 9 and woman said,this is credit card services, would you like to take advantage of our limited time offer? I asked her what company she represented. She said her service represented Master card and Visa. She asked me did I pay my card off in full each month or carry a balance? I replied that if she really represented both Master card and Visa she would know that answer and I was going to report the number to authorities. She hung up.
I received another one of these calls a few days ago, from another number. Our attorney general( Pa) knows about this, but, have been unable to catch them. I reported number to federal do not call list.
I have a whistle by the phone for the next time they call.

I get a call about every other day. They claim since you "push 9" to talk live, it means you have called them, and they are not bound by "do not call." So, I try to help them out. I push 9 and read the 23d Psalm to them, or the Gettysburg Address, or I start in on a fake Amway pitch, or even offer (In my best Southern Baptist voice) to help "Pray the deeeemon of greed and lying out of their lives."
They hang up. I have fun. And, as long as I'm holding them up, they are losing money, and not bothering anyone else.
Robo-call offering to lower the interest rates on my credit cards. If I press "9" I can get more details by talking to a live representative. I pressed "9" a woman said "hello" offered no information. I asked to be taken off their call list since I have paid off all my credit card debt. Woman just hung up.
I'm sure it is a scam. No answer when I called back.
