Automated machine offering to lower interest rate of credit card - press 9 to speak to a person - we did.  He thanked us for calling - we informed him that his office called us - he went on to ask what credit cards we had and we told him he since they called us.  He kept trying to get information on our cards and we said no thank you and hung up.  A few seconds later our phone rang - same number on caller ID - the guy said "go xxxx your mother" and hung up on us.  This is exactly what he said - state police said it is a scam and told us we were smart in not giving information.  No legitimate business would allow their employees to talk this way and no individual should give any information to this number!
