just got one on my boat for sale sending me a bank check

I tried to sell my car online and this number contacted me with the exact same message.

They are running a Craigslist scam. They say they will buy whatever you're selling for asking price. They will send a check for more than the selling price. They will want you to send the overage back to them. They are using a stolen account number.
