I to have called my phone company & found out that you can put a trace on your last call and after three traces they will be able to help. My provider is Qwest and yes this service is not free, it cost me One dollar each time I use it but my local provider said that in this case there would not be a charge to me. You must do this procedure immeditaly before you receive another incoming call, check on the procedure with your provider, but all I need to do is *57 and after 3 traces turn it into Anoyance Call Bureau at Qwest.
I have been getting the same calls for almost 9 months. Being that I work for a credit card company, I know that this area code is well known for credit card scams.
It is a scam! The auto voice tells you that this is a call from your credit card company. They tell you not to panic because everything is okay with your account. However, then they tell you that interest rates are going up. Then they expect you to hold for an operator. If you naive enough to take the call, you will find that this is an identity theft company. They want your personal information while you think you'll dealing with someone from your own credit card company. Your own credit card company will never call you and ask you for personal information.
