I got a call several times this week, offering to lower the interest rate on my credit cards (I have no credit cards). The prerecorded message said press one to speak to someone but two to be removed. 2 doesn't work, so I pressed one and the woman who answered (eventually) had no idea what number I was calling from. I told her I was on the do not call list and asked her to remove me. She asked what number I was calling from, so I replied "you called me and you don't know what number? I am on the do not call list, do I have to make a complaint?" She hung up on me.
I used caller ID and did a search and found this site after I registred my complaint on the Do Not Call list site.
Got a call from some interest lowering service wanting to lower my rates, no thanks, I have no debts. Obviously a scam. The employee stated his name was "Jim", I asked for an employee number and he said that he did not have one. I then asked for his last name, he then told me to "go &^*% myself" and then hung up the phone. Actually Jim, you're the one about to get &*%#! I just so happen to be traveling near Perrine FL next week, I think I'll stop by and pay him a visit. Also, local news authoorities investigative reporters love this type of stuff, they will be notified
Got a call from this number this morning. A recording said it was John from Consumer Services and it was about lowering my credit card rates, but not to worry, my current cards were fine. Press 1 to speak to a representative, 2 to be removed. I pressed 1 and got disconnected. Reported even though the number is probably fake. Almost certainly a credit card scam where they would want you to give them your credit card number
