This call came in with caller ID indicating it was from Marathon, FL. We don't answer calls from numbers or names we do not know. If they are not on our authorized caller list they instantly get blocked. This is an IRS scam call trying to trick the recipients into believing that the IRS has filed a law suit against them. Impossible as the IRS DOES NOT CALL YOU ON THE PHONE. All contact is done by US Mail. You can call them however. This scam has been going on for a long time. They have been trying to scam us since April. We don't answer their calls and the answering machine picks up the call and they leave a robocall message telling stating you are being sued by the IRS. They do not identify you by name. It is all generic. So we block every number they use to try to get to us. Caller ID has indicated the calls are coming from different States. No matter they are all blocked as soon as they call.
Threatening call from a John Mooers about the IRS is filing a law suit against us. You know this is fake, because we would be getting letters from the IRS first before anything like this would happen. Besides we have a very competent CPA and there is nothing wrong with our tax returns. We file regularly.
