I got this call last night. It is a scam call asking for donations to Rubios campaign. They know little about politics and are phonies. I never give my credit card # over the phone unless I make the call to valid charity, etc. Thank God this time because I was fooled until googling and then calling the #.
I agree completely about using an alias, But I think there ARE things we can do to make their business model unprofitable: 1) Always pick up and Punk 'em- takes some time, but they will keep changing numbers, so updating your call-blocker can take time also. 2) Don't give out any (actual...) personal info, but keep them on the line as long as possible. 3) If you find they are phishing for sales leads for actual businesses (loan companies, online universities and contractors are notorious...), get complete info on the businesses when they call, then file a BBB complaint against each ("Sales Practices") for using a law-breaking (violating the DNCR) third-party entity to drive sales leads. 4) Use your phone's speaker, so your friends can enjoy the game - SPREAD THE FUN...!
Yep, this is the Marco Rubio for President Campaign. I did what I always do with these folks: pledged what they recommend ($65 in this case), but my CC is maxed/hacked/whatever, so I'll have to send you a check after I receive your information BY MAIL. This 1) costs them time and money by talking to me and mailing me a futile pledge request, 2) helps out the beleaguered USPS and 3) sometimes gets me an unused 'forever' stamp on their return envelope. Hey, how bad do you want the folks who disregard the Do-Not-Call Registry to dry up and go away...?
called and I answered they don't say word ... Stop these sick people I have better things to do , get a job, A hobby or call your own number I'm sick of you.
