Received this call around 9:00 a.m. Since I have a family member who needs to sleep it is very annoying to get calls before 11:00 a.m. There was no company name on CID, just "Florida".
I just received a call from perhaps the same lowlife, drug addicted scammer, this afternoon. I reported the scammer to the FTC as a Do Not Call List Violation. I received a "Lower your interest rate" call on a pre-recording which claimed to be "Visa." I was told to press 9 to speak to an operator. I pressed none, and spoke to some jerk who sounded like a Mexican or a Filipino. he had accented English. I demanded to know why he called me because my phone number is on the Do Not Call List, and Visa does not typically call me at home-- in fact never has. He then said that he was from card Member Services. I told him that his accent was so thick tht I could not understand him, and that he didn't have an American accent. Again , I demanded to know why he called, and he started mumbling about how he was not from the bank. I talked over him, and told him that he did not even have an American accent, called him a damn [***] and hung up the phone. I did a call trace on the number, and reported the call to the Do Not Call List as a violation.
