These jerkoffs have been using the same scam for years. They say they will lower your credit card interest but all they want is your account # so they can rip you off.
Oh yes, the no call list- - HA HA HA HA HA HA!! Useless! File a complaint and read what it says "we do not investigate individual complaints but add the number to a data base that law enforcement CAN access." Sure, sure. Like the over-burdened and short-handed law enforcement agencies are out there looking for more work that they cannot handle. The no call list is a joke and anyone who does not know it by now is either living in a cave or just not paying attention. If it worked like it is supposed to this site would not exist.
A law is only as good as the amount of enforcement it gets. As you can see by this web site, the no call laws get NO Enforcement! All our resources goes to the lost "war on drugs" that most of us don't want nor support.
I have been getting these several times a day despite asking them repeatedly not to call me. Today when I told the guy I wanted to be removed from the call list, he replied "Gimme a kiss and I'll consider it". OMG!!! I was NOT amused and when I said so and asked to talk to his supervisor, he replied " Too bad, he died last night". What the HECK are these jerks up to?
Thanks for the post and info. I have made numerous through the Do Not Call complaint process over the years. Unfortunately, a $10,000 fine is a drop in the bucket compared to what these scammers can rip off, even if per complaint. I would like to see hard jail time netted out without access to a telephone or computer. Five years staring at a wall ought to do it.
