Calling to let me know my Microsoft windows computer(s) had a virus. Wanted access to my computer remotely to fix it. Called at 7 am on a Saturday. What a scam. Apparently once they get access they hold your system hostage until you pay to have it released.
Called at 5 AM on Saturday and woke me up. I missed that call. Called me back at 11:10 and told me Microsoft was receiving warning messages that viruses had infected my computer. Wanted me to go to my directory so I could "see for myself" programs and dates of "vicious" files on my computer. I think this was headed towards showing me files that update routinely.... I hung up before we got there. Guy had an Asian accent...
