They claim that I borrowed a cash advance from their client US National and owed them $517.64 that I did not pay back. He then informed me that I now owe $3,384.00. That if I did not pay I would have civil and criminal charges against me. My problem/worries are:
1) I know for a fact that I did not borrow anything from them.
2) They would not give me a date that I supposedly borrowed the money. Would only say I owed it in 2011 and their attempts to retrieve the alleged "owed" amount was not successful.
3) He gave me the last four digits of my account number, routing number, the name of my bank, and my email address.
I do not know what action to take if any. Any suggestions?

got a call from this number claiming to be law representation for US Bank claiming they were going to take legal action against me, or i could pay them direct to resolve the issue out of court.
I received the exact same call. They stated I had taken out a payday loan in June, which is false. Rep stated that rather than harassment calls that US Bank was pursuing legal action against me. Rep hung up the phone once I stated I had bank statements to verify I never had a payday loan through US Bank. He stated that I would be sued. Fraud at its finest!
