They consistently call and once picked up and they said my name, then they hung up...picked up, again, tonight and saying how they would like another donation...explained i told them i am giving locally...they say, well, it's there service providing for them..asked were they in Mich., yes, and asked for website info, gave me it...but, if you want to contact them it's Knoxville, Tenn.
Received call from 313-203-8198 on Nov. 20 at 2:02 p.m. and my caller ID shows ACS. Never answered the phone why I don't recognize the caller. These robo telemarketing calls are out of control and I would love to know how to STOP it. My panasonic phone only holds a limited amount of BLOCKED calls and there are so many numbers that require blocking. Once blocked the phone rings once and shows me that the call was blocked. This would be great if I could find a way to BLOCK ALL THE TELEMARKETING calls as they come in.
Does anyone know if a device that can be purchased and attached to a phone that will hold unlimited telemarketing phone numbers that we can block?

I only use my landline number to send faxes from my business and make calls when I want to save minutes on my cellphone or worry about getting disconnected. My relatives know to call me on my cellphone and I NEVER give that number out on any forms or business. Don't EVER give your cell number on raffle forms, etc. You're just asking to get telemarketing calls and getting on marketing lists as they sell numbers to each other
What I've done.... I bought a Telezapper and put it on my phone line. It sends out an electronic beep before it connects you that tells the robo callers that your line is bad. This will help with marketers who have old systems that this device fools. If they have a more sophisticated system that passes that, I have used the dial tones found on this site: http://www.payphone-directory.org/sounds.html . I recorded the "this number is disconnected" on my answer machine multiple times, so when they get through they get the dial tone and message.
From what I read, there are a few companies that sell "good numbers" to everyone. What you want to do is get on your list of "bad numbers" and the call will decrease. I know the dial tones work because I was trying to get a call back from Amazon's customer service. They use a robo dialer and then connect you with their service agents. Everytime I picked up, I got disconnected....I had to turn off the Telezapper to get the call to connect.
