Continuing calls, leaving message saying they have legal documents forwarded to their office under my name and ssn. They call me by a completely different/wrong name. They threaten to "serve" me, if I don't call back, on March 15 at my place of work or at home between certain hours (i forgot). Those spam callers are the worst!!!!
2nd call from them, same thing saying they have legal documents and "I" will be served. they use my uncles name, which he and I have never had the same contact information. the person on the phone is heavily accented, and instead of calling him back they want me to call an 877 number.
Did they ever show up to serve you? I suspect this is a scam as I have gotten two calls this week and let it go to voicemail saying they had papers to service me.
A male with a heavy accent has called me and several of my relatives saying he's a legal courier and I had until Aug 8th to call a 800# and if I didn't call by this date he will deliver the legal documents to my home or work. This person call me today to advise me he will out to my resident or work today between 12pm and 5pm. I told him I'll look forward to meeting with him and asked him to confirm my home address because I wanted to assure he was coming to the correct resident since he left messages on relatives voice-mail. He stated that he could not confirm my address with me due to legal issues. I must say I never heard that one before...Why call me to advise me you have legal documents and why wouldn't he be able to confirm my address....addresses are public information and not considered within the privacy act.
