If you call the number back, a computer picks up and asks you to wait for a while then your transferred to a voicemail box. Its definitely a scam because the voicemail says "SallieMae" It doesn't go to a direct person's number and doesn't leave a detailed message...just says "SallieMae"
unknown as I didn't answer. CID showed "None" However research showed no mention until now on 800notes. however a similar site had this. "Claimed to represent Chevy Chase bank. I have no account with them. I was told by a very polite woman that the call was recorded, and in order to proceed further, she needed to verify my complete home address. I told her that I had no accounts with Chevy Chase Bank. I told her that I would not give her any information until I knew what the call was about. She thanked my politely and hung up."
