Received a call from this number a few minutes ago on our land line. The Caller ID: Name Not Found. I answered because I thought it was one of my step-sons who was out of state for a family funeral, calling from his cell phone. The man on the other end identified himself as calling for America's Homeless Veterans. He starting asking questions on how I felt about how our homeless military veterans were cared for. There seemed to be too much a of pause between my answers and his questions which made me think the voice on the other line was a recording. When I broke in to what he was saying to state that if he was calling for a donation that we were not in the position to make any donation, his voice just went on. So, I just said "Goodbye" and hung up. I did check and they are a registered charitable organization with the IRS, but I am not familiar with them or their work. I am wary about any organization which calls out of the blue for donations and about which I know nothing.
