314-287-5544...Got a robo message about knee pain and pain management. Robo caller. Funny though, I only get 1/2 the message...it must start playing before my answering machine beeps. Idiots.
Does anyone know of a free blocker for a Verizon Land Line? I don't have a lot of dough here to spend on an elaborate system, but the calls ARE getting out of hand...I've even gone so far as to put disconnect tones on my message machine...THAT was pretty effective, but won't work with these idiot robo recorded messages.
I've been reporting EVERY SINGLE ONE to the DNC...maybe if they get sick of hearing from me they'll actually DO something about this nonsense.

I have Blacklisted this number. If this number calls again it will be registered to Caller ID history, but the phone will never ring.
I have a verizon land-line, too.
I checked all around for something free to stop these calls. There aren't any free options.
It's outrageous that Verizon can't stop this.
I was about to buy a "box" that blocks calls, but I found a better solution that costs about the same.
Panasonic has cordless phones that block calls using your caller ID.
This is how it works:
1. You set the cordless phone to be silent on the first ring. (After the first ring, is when the Caller ID is displayed)
2. The cordless phone then disconnects the call if it's from a number you've blocked.
3. No message is played for the caller. It just disconnects the call! (perfect!)
4. You can also set this to happen to all calls that do not display a phone number! (also perfect!)
If the phone you're currently using on this land-line has a switch to turn off the ringer, then turn it off!
The cordless phone will ring for non-blocked calls, but will not ring at all for blocked calls!
So you are never interrupted by these low-lifes again!

You can get it with one to five cordless phones in the box.
Another feature is that you can use Bluetooth to hook up your smartphone to it and then you can answer (and make) cell phone calls from the cordless phone!
The phone rang and I allowed it to go to the answering system. Unfortunately a message was left and it was some nonsense about treating pain. This is a new one to me and I expect more calls from other numbers. But they will continue to get the answering system.
