Well I to just recieved a call from a Steve Day, actually two of which the first my son picked up because I was working. He proceeding to tell him he was an investigator for the courts and that I have a legal matter that if not taken care of will end up in court. My son replied that if it truely was a legal matter it would be on case net ( of which it is not) then he proceeded to use foul lanaguage and threaten him. Don't get smart with me your not a lawyer.....How would you know he is not a lawyer. A few more words exchanged. Then he called again today while I was working and gave my daughter the same info, this time without the foul lanaguage. these people have called before saying I have an unpaid internet loan I have not had one of those pay day loans in 6 years, he then asked me to fax over my bank account information along with a promise to pay letter to a number right away to avoid collection. Also they asked for Social security numbers and dates of birth. WHAT? If u really worked for the pay day loan company you would have all of that and why would I have to fax any of that?
I never did that I told them that they could speak to my attorney, never heard back from them for 6 months now here we go again. I'm filing a complaint with the Attorney Generals office. Not to mention I'm pretty sure they are not suppose to give my personal information over the phone to anyone that answers. ( ohand when they call you can hear all the other people in the background talking so pretty sure it is a call center not a invesigators office as he protrays to me)
There is also claim that the bussiness was sold from the previous owner and he was the problem try again they still are in the wrong.
I use to work for this collection and Steve's real name is Steve Gilbert. I was fired 2 weeks before Thanksgiving 2008 because I refused to violate the FDCPA by telling people I was "an investigator of the court", "I had a warrant for your arrest", "I'm having the sheriff to come out there & arrest you", etc. I filed complaints with the Mo Atty General, Division of Finance and the FBI & NOBODY WOULD LISTEN. I even asked the major news channels (2, 4 & 5) to pretend they were returning a call & specifically ask for Steve & see what he says, & again nobody would listen. The previous owner of this company is Reggie Smith, a convicted murderer. Everyone who works for this company has a prison record for either murder or drugs. Which by law states anyone convicted of a felony cannot work in a capacity where they have access to someone's personal information such as ss #, dob, etc. The "new owner" is a scam artist also. The name he has provided has only existed for 4 yrs & none of the payday loans he claims to own are in his name. They're in the name of his girlfriend who is being sued by the Mo Atty General for scamming people on a health club. You need to take legal action against Steve Gilbert & this company.

I find your "BLOG" not only totally fraud, but insulting to use good collectors who return millions back to clients that have unpaid & bad debt. If you feel you need to tell lies & publicise them on the internet you no better than someone who steals from creditors & financial institutions. I too was an employee for Smith, Klein & Assoc. You were the worst collector I had ever worked with. unethical, unrealistic, & formost. You need therapy ! Thats why you lost your job..
