Called cell phone -- didn't answer it because I didn't know who was calling -. Has called since for the last seven days and just hangs up when I don't answer. Blocked them today.
Got a call from 314-449-9938, I actually live in this area. Rang once, hung up. Called the number back from a trap line at my work. Greeting said, Lisa and offering $100 reward redemption card from visiting one of their websites. BLOCKED!!
Same here. I returned their call and was greeted with the same automated answer. I was then transferred, someone answered but just let the phone sit there. You could here foreign language in the back ground.
The DNC list can't stop criminals who call from foreign countries. The DNC list is a US-based operation with no jurisdiction outside the US. The DNC list DOES help, because it stops legitimate telemarketers from calling you.
Criminals don't obey the law, even those in the US; less so those in Iran, Pakistan, India, etc., who are just trying to steal money.
