The caller identifies herself as a rep from Wells Fargo from Loan Modification. She called 8 pm centtral time from a landline in the St. Louis MO area. This is a scam. Do not release any information. I had a similiar call two days prior from Long Beach CA claiming he was also a rep from Wells Fargo.
I just received a call from this number saying they want to conduct a survey regarding my credit card usage. Sounds like a scam because of the shady telephone number.
Received call indicating this is a survey for Wells Fargo Bank. Asked to speak with Bill Bailey. I identified myself and
was asked to speak with the person who applied for credit card from Well Fargo Bank. I said no one applied for
a Wells Fargo Credit card.The speaker was of female sounding and said, Let me speak with my supervisor--a pause
and she returned and said 'Thank you and hung up".
Got 3 calls from them wanting to conduct a 15 minute survey. Just got a new card sent to me to & told the first caller i didn't have anything good to say. Different people made the other 2 calls, but this is ridiculous. Thanks for info. This number will go unanswered from now on -- blocked! Don't like their points program from the past, i had a card on my fathers account, he passed away & they dumped $590 in points & wouldn't transfer them to me. Doesn't say much for their "customer service"
So this card will go back to them cut in half.
I deal directly with Wells Fargo and I check my status regularly. My account is current. They sais they don't recognize the number being affiliated with them so watch out for this number. If Wells Fargo would call you, they would leave a message asking for a return call.
