They called sometimes 6 times a day. I am not going to say I'm not late when they call, like some will. I have been late from time to time. I am not paid weekly and sometimes this falls on a non pay week and I have to push it back a week. When I pay my account I pay extra. I remember one time around Christmas they called and I answered the phone. They told me they were going to foreclose on my home if I didn't pay this RIGHT NOW over the phone. I said I am how many days late? They said, 4. I said I am 4 days late and you're going to foreclose on my home? She said yes if you don't pay right now! I said...OK how much is my house payment? She looked, I had been paying extra each month so my payment was 28.32. I said so let me get this straight you're going to foreclose on my home for being 4 days late on a payment of 28.32? You can believe what you will but this is absolutely true! Needless to say I paid the 28.32 plus another payment, but not until my payday!
When they do call, even 2 days late they would call 6 times a day, and threaten me. They even called my parents and told them they were going to foreclose on me if my PARENTS DIDN'T pay this amount for me. I'm not sure how they can legally discuss my matters with my parents but they did.
I have ready post where people complain about bill collectors and don't get they do owe them money. I do admit that. I admit that from time to time I fall short, especially around Christmas. I also admit that from time to time I'm late, not more than 30 days but maybe 2 weeks. I think we still need to respect each other, and at that time I don't think that company did that! I did go through a rough patch where they had to call me often, but things have gotten much better. The company doesn't call me now so they could have had a change in the staff or manager.
I got a call from the for the first time and I have no clue what for. I just hung up since I don't respond to callers I don't recognize. This has me mystified. As for you "annoyed", you seem to be struggling and trying to do the right thing. And it's difficult. If you know you will be able to pay very quickly, tell them you will do so and hang up. You do not have to listen to them carping at you. And paying over the phone can be risky, particularly if you do it via debit card or provide bank information. Good luck.
