Received a call but didn't answer because I don't know the #. Voice mail and text messages left to "Please Call". Huh? Call who? These scams get better and better. Unfortunately for the weak, the fall victim and spend years cleaning up the mess.
Who, what, when, where, why and however they got my contact information will be of no benefit to them.
I got this! Bless...
My caller ID read "HOM SECUR WCA" as the name of the caller and 314.627.6675 as the calling number. I did NOT answer and advise others not to, either. They will let my phone ring just enough for voice mail to kick in, but they did not hang around long enough to hear my outgoing message ("Please remove this number from your call list") They keep calling a few times, etc. but do not get tempted to answer these folks. Eventually, they will quit. Report them to donotcall.gov so evidence will mount against them. Some of these callers now "spoof" which means their computers send out a signal that is interpreted by your phone company as a valid number, but it is not. They know you cannot "number reject" them when they make calls that way as the number your carrier gets from them makes the carrier think it is real, and lets it through, however, it turns out it is not valid. These folks think they are real cleaver and keep coming up with ways to defeat telephone company & their customers security, privacy features and wishes. The FCC & congress have phone company hands tied as I've been told no phone company can legally block legitimate calls. Please, consider NOT answering unless you know the calling party and want to talk with them. Write your congressman & 2 senators to complain. I have mine on speed dial!
