Caller claims to be 'Helping Hands Association". Claims to be soliciting donations for veterans. The REAL Hrlpng Hand Association is a 501 (c) (3) located in FL and it is a good pantry NOT s vet's charity. SCAM, SCAM, SCAM
I got the call. Being a vet myself the individual explained this. Then asked for a gold or silver star donation. I said I wouldn't commit to anything until he sent me information and I could research. He paused and then boldly asked for money again. I said did you hear what I just said. Once again same bs. I said he was already given my answer and asked him how he would get me the info. He hung up on me. Clearly a person who needs his [***] kicked.
Called me today. Claimed this was a recorded call. I had a hunch this was going to be a problem.
Claimed to be seeking assistance for veterans and wanted donations of 35 or 25 dollars. I explained that he could send me information as I am a veteran myself. He kept persisting that I commit to
A level of donation. I explained I would research this non profit group and donate as I deem appropriate based on my review. Once again he asked for this donation again as if I did ntot explain myself. I reiterated my stance and asked how he would send the info. He hung up on me. I believe this is a scammer. He will be muted. As a veteran myself I'd like to have this shutdown as he wasn't genuinely looking to help veterans and him having heard my response being a vet didn't register.
