My account with Verizon has a $0 balance and I've had them for almost 12 years now. No accounts in collection yet still received a call from this number
This is definitely Verizon Financial Services and I was able to call the number back. Apparently when I switched to AT&T under the "we will buy out your old contract" program they failed to pay the last $88 and that is why they are calling me???
You still need to be careful. It's too easy to spoof or impersonate any business or organization. Be especially suspicious if the caller has a foreign accent.
