Just got a call from this number said there was a complaint against me and wanted me to call another number for documents. Told her I was driving and couldnt write. She asked if she could call me later and give me the number then she sounded disappointed I couldn't take it now.
Just out of curiosity. Called back this number. Had a South American accent. Area code is from Louisiana. Woman refused to identify herself,or state the reason of her call. Which is illegal if you are a legitimate corporation,or collection agency. If you are being served papers,it will not be as a threat over the phone. It is usually by mail or deputy. Harassment over the phone is highly illegal.
I also got the exact same call. I was told that there was a complaint on me. I obviously laughed at that one; however, this woman said her name was Megan, gave me another number to call within 2hrs. ....... I was also given a file # and when I asked the name of the company that SHE worked for, she said, " Logistics Locating Corporation". I obviously then asked her if this is a scam or something, at which time there was no longer anyone on the tele.This really infuriates me even more so, due to the fact that some older people may actually fall for this stuff - and do every day. These folks must be stopped and JAILED for a very long time. Apparently they do not have family or any conscience whatsoever!
received a call from this number talking in a rush. they mentioned the name of the previous property owner from 26 years ago. apparently cross referenced my number I've had for 17 years with the property location and assumed the property was still owned by the previous owner. I heard feedback of what I had said a few seconds earlier in the background, so they were apparently recording the call. I assume it was some type of scam.
