First of all a 121 Area Code is not legit. Let the answering machine pick it up and of course no message. Besides blocking numbers which really does no good because all or most of them have hundreds of numbers they call from. One of the best things I do ( if I am home) as soon as I see unknown #'s is to switch my fax machine on. This slows them down for a while. I think the federal government needs to step in and put it on the telephone companies for sellin phones to these illegal people.
obviously, a phone terrorist, perhaps assassins trying to organize a strike against the White House. The Secret Service needs to strike the first blow.
Just got this call a few minutes ago on my cell phone. I didn't answer & they didn't leave a message. The caller id shows the phone number & no persons name. Police tell me this is a sure give away that it's 99% a scammer. Here is a directory you might want to keep in your favorites on your computer and/or cell phone: http://www.thedirectory.org/pref/ This website gives you the area codes in the US, Canada & The Caribbean & then at the bottom of the page it gives you the prefixes that are in North America (United States). There are no prefixes starting with a 1. The first listed prefix shows being 200...There are no prefixes using 211, 311, 411, 511, 611, 711, 811, or 911 as these numbers are set aside & used for other types of information or emergency calls. Hope this is helpful.
