First of all a 121 Area Code is not legit. Let the answering machine pick it up and of course no message. Besides blocking numbers which really does no good because all or most of them have hundreds of numbers they call from. One of the best things I do ( if I am home) as soon as I see unknown #'s is to switch my fax machine on. This slows them down for a while. I think the federal government needs to step in and put it on the telephone companies for sellin phones to these illegal people.
I am so tired of these calls. I NEVER answer my phone if I don't recognize the number. I copy it, paste it into Google, and "800 notes" usually has it. Then I paste it into my phone as a new contact in Folder "Spam'17", and check the box so that it sends others right to voice mail (they never leave a message). I have added 47 to that Folder this year so far. I partly blame our phone company. They should have come up with a system by now to either screen these numbers or allow us to block them without charge so we don't have to go to all this trouble for each and every call. I formerly ALWAYS answered my phone, with only an occasional "Oh, sorry, wrong number". This is insanely out of control.
I agree with "not that dumb". Never say yes to any question asked from a number you don't know. They are wanting you to answer their phony questions. Then they can rearrange your words and order things in your name and you WILL be responsible for payment on whatever is ordered.
