Do not give these people any information. It's a scam. They call from multiple different numbers, one is 801-520-1980, and they say they're from your credit card company and they just need your card number and personal info to see if you're eligible to lower your interest rate. They then tell you you're not and use all your info to wipe you out. This is what I've read on another site when I researched the 801 number, and it's the same people because it was the exact same recorded message.
DON'T GIVE ANY INFORMATION AND PUT YOURSELF ON THE DO NOT CALL REGISTRY IF YOU'RE NOT ALREADY ON IT SO YOU CAN START FILING COMPLAINTS EVERY TIME THEY CALL YOU.
They've been calling me off and on for about the past 6 months, using several different numbers but always the same message (lowering credit card rate, I don't have a credit card). Yesterday I decided to hit the button and demand to be removed. The guy's response was "wait wait wait you don't want to do that..." before I said "yes I do" and hung up.
Today they called again and I decided to ask politely how do you go about getting your name removed from their list. The lady's response was to say, while laughing, "Funny part is, there is no call list" and hung up on me.
Definitely some sort of scam or shady business if you ask me.
Caller ID said: "WIRELESS CALLER". They called twice. I asked both times to be removed from their list. I asked if they knew my number and they said yes.
In the second call, I asked "Gina" what the name of her company was and she said "Cardmember Services".
