I just received the call and asked I just continue listening. I let him finish then asked one simple question "what % of the money goes to the organization and what % goes to the officers". He started into his talk again about how it helps the officers and I told him I have two sons who are LEOs and he suddenly said good bye and hung up.
To get them to stop - their machine is relentless - in California, you can call (951) 734-7463 and ask them to take your number off the list.
I found the number at their main website, in case you're somewhere else: www.fop.net
Go to the Contact Us link, then Lodge Finder. The caller ID on my phone said it was lodge 1. Enter the lodge number - it's a 3 digit number, so 1 = 001 - and the state and it will give you a number to call. Calling the number that called you won't work. Hope this is helpful.
They called for my wife and when I asked why they hung up on me. She has alzheimers and they apparently know they can con her. Tis should be shut down and prosecuted.
