IRS scam...told me that I must pay $500 within 2 hours or I'd be arrested for $2000 in back taxes. I asked for a supervisor and was told "supervisors are angry and don't play and I don't want to talk to them". Was also told that if I hang up it's refusal to pay and sending sheriff to my house.
this is the internal revenue service contacting you regarding a serious infraction on your internal revenue claim. requested callers name and informed him i was calling him back on a recorded line then the supposed IRS contact started saying sexually explicit stuff and I put the phone on hold and let him talk to allow a possible traceable phone trail. FRAUD from an ASIAN in California
Says the IRS is filing a law suit against you. This is not the IRS! Do not fall for it! It's a scam! They wouldnt call you. They would notify you by mail!
Please tell me this is a f*(&* joke!...I missed the call, but luckily it forwards a written and voice file to my email....I read it.... Could this be true?
Is there a 24 hour irs line for scary things like this to ask them about?
The IRS does not need to sue anyone. They also do not bother arresting people for a few thousand dollars. They don’t send the local police or Sheriff to arrest you. Everything they do is done either administratively or using Federal Agents. They don’t call you up and demand immediate payment. If you are going to be arrested, they don’t call you up to warn you. They only issue arrest warrants for people who are really bad actors and have tried to stick them for very large amounts of money, not a few hundred or thousand. Administratively, they send you first class letters delivered by the Post Office. Several of them. Ignore those, and they then send certified letters that you need to sign for. Again delivered by the Post Office. Ignore those and they simply freeze your bank accounts and anything else you own. If they can do that, then why would they bother with a court case that might take them years before they get in front of a judge? The IRS does not accept payment in Itunes Cards, Amazon gift cards, or any other type of payment other than cash, check, credit or debit card (from normal everyday citizens).
