Called about warranty expiration for Acura TSX that will not be out of warranty for at least 3 years. Asked where they were located. She stated Honda corporate offices in CA. I asked why I had 330 area code showing on my phone. She said it was so I would not need to call long distance. I said BullHockey, end of call.
Phone call received from "vehicle processing center". They had all the info about my car, when i purchased it, and how long ago. They had my closely protected cell phone number as well. They stated that they are an authorized service provider for Mercedes Benz. I have no car loan outside of Mercedes Benz and they would have no way of connecting my vehicle to my cell phone number. They stated they are from southern California and their business name is "vehicle processing center". They hung up as my questions became more detailed.
