Left voice mail said fraud case against me involving my social security number and phone number and I better call them ...... I called the number back and they did have my name, buy it told them it was the wrong number..... it's got to be a scam.....
I too received one of these calls today from Able Miller---on behalf of Equity Funding. They told me that if I didn't pay them restitution, I will face 6 months in jail. They had all my personal information, but incorrect on two items. Nothing on either company, and when you do a reverse lookup on the phone number they called me from, it was a cell phone. Told me I had until 2pm to call pay and make restitution--but they would be willing to reduce the amount by nearly $800. Advising the local police of this scam.
My call actually came from 330-277-5060. Did a reverse look-up, and found it is a Sprint cell phone-----so definitely a scam. No legitimate business would be using a cell phone.
