We Have Signed Up For The Do Not Call List! Ohio Fire Called And Asked For Donations To Our Local Fire Department.. I Called Our Local Fire Dept, And They Stated That No Fire Dept Will Call Asking For Donations And That It Was A Scam. Also Stated That They Or Any Other Fire Dept Has Never Received Donations From This Organization. Somebody Is Putting Honest Peoples Donation Money In Their Own Pocket!! Do Not Donate A Penny!
I know this has been said a million times so here's a million and one for any newcomers. NEVER give your card information to someone who calls you. Even if they say it's your bank or credit card company, they have that information. If it's a charity ask for their Employer Identification Number(EIN), by law they have to have one and have to supply it to anyone who asks for it. Also ask for a website where you can get a physical mailing address if it's a charity you might like to donate to, then verify that address by a simple internet search.
