Unrecognized number, from Ohio, same area code as me but I sent to vm, no message left googled number, read other experiences with this number, now blocked from calling me.
When phone rang, my friend's name showed on Caller ID so I answered saying "Hi!"... there was nothing, dead silence. THEN a man began talking some spiel re a security system! My friend's name that came up was last person I received call from! I thought maybe there was a glitch when they both called at exact same time, so I immediately called her ... and found out she HAD NOT called! BUT this number now shows on Caller ID as 'Ohio Call'. Is this a new way of scamming??? Scary!
Call shows as my area code and Wellsville. The first time I answered attempeted to spiel the security system. I hung up. 2nd call I told them not to call back. Now I receive this call up to 5 times a day and they hang up if I answer. Calls are frequently 2 or 3 back to back calls then a hangup. SO disgusted with this scenario but there is nothing I can do to stop it.
