This number called 3x yesterday.........once I didn't answer, once they didn't leave a message and on the third try when my husband answered they asked for someone named "Johnson"- WRONG! They called again this morning and asked for my mother-in-law who doesn't live with us. We gave them her number when they said they were calling about Sam's Club. Did we do wrong? Does anybody know who/what they are or want? Our caller ID said GE MONEY ..........
Received a call on my cell phone about my Sams Club card - my cell phone is not even on the profile for my Sams account - they said I was late on my payment.. I told them that was strange since I just received the bill yesterday and I am never late- then they wanted to transfer my balance of my Sams card to the GE card.
I said no and never call again. this is bull crap....
I asked repeatedly who was calling and they refused to identify themselves.
Your best bet is to put all unrecognized numbers in a Reject Call list or give them a contact name like GE Money NAG and give it a ringtone you'll know enough to not answer.
They have software that calls. If you NEVER ANSWER, they call less. They're building a profile of when you answer and they'll call with increasing frequency if you answer even once.
Finally, my question is answered! Its the GE Sam's club people calling. But I never missed a payment before. Why they've kept calling is beyond me. However I know my bill was and is always paid so I hope they just get the hint and leave me alone. (Kinda wish my cellphone would say who's calling rather than just the number.)
