This number had called my buisness phone I answered with hello my name is ------- Just to let you know this call will be recorded for quality purposes all I got was dead air the caller hung up not saying a word ???
I answered the phone "hi". The person said "Hi, how are you". I asked "who is this". She said "your cousin". I said "I am about to hang up, because I don't know who you are". She asked "why, can't your cousin surprise you". I hung up.
The number has called more than once, but I was actually able to answer it when they called today. The representative I spoke with was pleasant and advised me this call was being generated from Commonwealth Financial. I asked for a paper trail so I can keep a record of what bill they supposedly are trying to collect on.
They were calling my cell phone 5 times a day. We are a answering services for several funeral homes. I called them back and asked what they were calling for and told them who we were. They claimed that they were a financial service called NCC and that they were trying to collect on a debt. She looked us up and said "oh sorry wrong number." I asked them to please explain how they got our number and she hung up.
I called back and asked to speak to a supervisor and they hung up again.
I called back again and they said no one was available to speak to me--interesting!
I think it's a scam!!!
