No one spoke, just a hang up. I called it back and a heard a recording claiming that it was American Red Cross Disaster Relief. If you key in your number they say they will remove you from the list.
This is the RedCross calling and they wanted at least $100 donation. We helped them in the past.
I thanked them for the call and apologized saying that I was out of work.
She went on to say she hopes things turn around for me but I should think of these people that have lost everything.
I told her that I could not believe she was going on even after I told her there wasn't any money.
She tried to continue.
WHAT A STUPID IDIOT! She should not waste her time trying to get blood from a turnip.
However, she probably takes most of the money for her own pocket similar to the fraternal order of police. If so, she should be run out of town and put in jail.
I have had consistent calls from this number, represented as "Private Number," and have had the usual hangups, dead silence, etc. I answered this morning and the stumbling representative had my name, and after I pressed as to whom she was represting, she said it was the Red Cross. I told her to take my name off the list, immediately.
I then called the Red Cross to report the inefficiency of the obviously outsourced calls (i.e., telemarketers)and the 'real' Red Cross said they would check into it after I mentioned all of the online complaints.
